The people at Insomniac Games has announced that it has partnered with Electronic Arts to bring a "brand new universe and franchise" to both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The Insomniac CEO Ted Price recently released a notice to their fans explaining why this partner ship was made (http://www.insomniacgames.com/blogcast/ ... ed/1529690).

He went on to say in the address that, "You may be wondering why we’re announcing this game now, and how it relates to our existing projects. We’ve been developing games on an annual pace during the last 16 years. One thing that has become apparent to us though is that in order to live up to our own high standards of quality, we want to give ourselves more development time to iterate and polish our games. All future Insomniac titles will benefit from longer development cycles, which will directly benefit you, our fans."

This was a big shock to most of the PS3 Resistance 3 fans, but Price said they are still very committed to PS3 Resistance fans. There is still a good chance 360 will not be getting Resistance 3, but no word on that yet has been made.

No word on when this project with EA Partners will be revealed, but be keeping your eyes peeled on this extremely exciting development.

Wow, I really thought that Insomniac was a Sony Exclusive Developer. As nice as it is to have exclusive titles to your favorite system console it is really nice to see that more and more people are branching out and doing their games for both systems.

Makes me wish that in 10-15yrs or so we could be playing ALL games on ONE console, say with Sony hardware and Microsoft software... How sweet would that be!

Yeah, I did not see this coming! This "new" game they have in the works seems very interesting. Hopefully E3 will bring news of it!
